jvm cabs

Does have sense to put a Lead 900 (1960a) and a 1960Bv on the same stack of a jvm 410h?

Re: jvm cabs

I prefer the 410. I like OD1 better than OD2, and the 210/205 doesnt have OD1.
Those cabs under the JVMs have G12H30's.

I see.
Personally I'd put the 75's in the 'B' cab and the V30's in the 'A' cab.

Re: jvm cabs

I'm semi-jealous of you guys with your wall of Marshalls. I'd love to get a YJM100 and a matching A cab for it, but I'd want Creambacks in it for power-handling over the Greenbacks. Then I'd like a SLO-100 and matching cab...just because the SLO is super-awesome. Then I'd do the Orange Rockerverb 100 MK II and a matching PPC412A cab. Yes, I'd get the A cab...sue me. This way, all of the half-stacks would match and it would be pretty cool in my room.

Re: jvm cabs

the question is
does someone has tried 1960a with 1960bv in the same stack?

Why not haul your amp and guitar to a GC or Sam Ash that has both and try it out? It''s worth the trip for the money you'll be spending.

Re: jvm cabs

The forum exists to tell people who ask for advice what they should have done before comming to the forum in the first place. Didn't you get the memo?

I think it's just hard to explain the tones you're going to get, so logically the best advice is to try them out befor you buy.

Aren't the 1960bv loaded with v30's?? If they are I have a 1960 loaded with 75's and v30's it sounds really good with my JVM. However, unlike others I liked just having 75s in my cab, no shit! I would just scoop the highs and crank the mids, and I would get a ****ing fierce tone. Now things seem a bit more "tame" with the paired v30s. This is MY OPINION, though. My Orange Tiny Terror sounds better with my cab setup, honestly...

Re: jvm cabs

I have a 1960 AV and 1960b and I put the V30's on the top of each cab. So each cab has 2 x V30's on top and 2x75's on the bottom. Reason being I can't take a full stack with me everywhere I go so I have 2 cabs I can run seperately and sound good to my ears.

If your planning on running a full stack everywhere you go I would put the V30's in the A cab. That way you get the mids (V30's) to your ears and the bass (75's) to the floor.
