410 Cab
Is the 410 an open or closed back cab?
Found one on e-bay and asked the Seller to confirm it's a 1965A with G10L-35's....response I got was "I don't know". Wondering if I can get him to take a pic of the back or if he would have to remove the back panel....he doesn't seem that interested... |

GRAB IT!!! GREAT CAB WITH GREAT SPEAKERS!!!!11One11!!!Eleven!!! [calm down mode] If it's stock, it's closed back Mine is open (modded by former owner). 1/3 of the back panel (horizontally, the middle part). Havn't tried a full panel yet because mine is stock (soundwise, got an L-pad though). Stock they are a bit dull (C5) so adding more lows by closing the cab was not such a good idea (to me). Nice combination with the C5 though. And I've seen a lot of people regretting getting rid of their cabs. [/calm down mode] My C5 combo on top of my 1965A

Re: 410 Cab
But how do you really feel about the cab??!!
Not sure if the guy doesn't know what he has or just isn't interested... Either way sounds like a good match for a C5 head. Trying to close a deal on it. |

Re: 410 Cab
I went through a bunch of old posts last night and it looks like this cab got great reviews so...I'm hoping the seller;
A) doesn't have a clue what he has and B) isn't a member of this forum! |

Re: 410 Cab
Just ask the seller to unscrew the speaker jack plate on the back and look inside with a flashlight - it's just four screws, and you can see the backs of all four speakers to identify them. Have both the A and B 1965 cabs (see avatar image), I think they are great cabs. They sound great with both my 3203 and Class 5 heads. Good luck.

Re: 410 Cab
I have 1966 cab, same size as 4x10 but with 2x12 inside with G12T-75. I don't really like the speakers, but the cab is great and very portable, easy to transport. I may change the speakers to G12H-30 or V30.
