my 1978 Cab

Well I bought this thing when I was 15 (19 years ago) along with a JMP 2203 Mk2 Master Volume 100w Lead Head used, (traded in a Peavy Bandit 112 and about $300 cash) and after finding this website, decided to finally open it up and see what was inside.

From reading various opinions, I apparently have a pretty decent somewhat vintage Cab?

Only one thing, I checked every square inch and there is no signature inside anywhere... so anyone know whats up with that? everything looks authentic to me. I checked a reference and the codes indicate the G12-65's are 1978's. Also looks like the previous owner did some re-wiring. I haven't had any issues though, I love the sound of this now 30 year old Cab, hasn't failed me in 19 years of LOUD metal shredding goodness.

Re: my 1978 Cab

hmm ok, I guess I made a mistake reading the codes. I think I was just stuck on 1978 because I also found out my Head is a '78 today.
(Info posted here Identifying, Repairing, Cleaning advice )
Anyways, Did a re-read of the codes stamped on the G12-65's which are;

Month / Year / Day
LP12 - L/P/12 - November 1981 12th
LP13 - L/P/13 - November 1981 13th
EQ23 - E/Q/23 - May 1982 23rd
EQ24 - E/Q/24 - May 1982 24th

I think I got it right this time, used this as a reference Celestion Date Codes
