100w Plexi into 2 cabs??
Hi all,
I have a 100w Plexi reissue that has been modded, and due to this mod I now only have 1 speaker socket at the back of the head. Question is how can I hook up 2 cabs to the head? I didn't really think about this when I got it modded and now I am unsure what I can do to be able to use 2 cabs with the one head? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Simon |

No biggie. You'd have to either make your own Y adapter speaker cable, or just buy a mono "Y" adapter (get a decent heavy guage one). All you need to do is split the signal to each cab, and set the impedance like you would if you plugged both cabs into the amp.

Re: 100w Plexi into 2 cabs??
Awesome,
OK If I am using a 16ohm box at the moment, and if I use 2 boxes I would need to switch the head to 8ohm, correct? Another option I found is I have a Marshall Power Brake which has 2 speaker outs on it, and also has an ohms selector switch, soooooo do I keep the head on 16ohms and then switch the Power Brake to 8 ohms? Cheers, and thanks so far ![]() Simon |
