Is it 2 X12 or 4 X12 and what ohm rating are the individual speakers? It might be possible with some minor re-wiring of the cab depending on the answers to the above questions. Out of interest what head have you got? It's unusual to see one with just 16ohms. Has it been hard-wired that way? |

Re: 8ohms to 16 ohms
yeah it has actually its 77 jmp modded by jim caswell, i dont know why he did it this way, but there is no way to choose what ohms u r using, i thoght it was ok because most of the cabs are 16 ohms and i would only use one 4x12 not 2x12 or a full stack, but i have seen a few 4x12 with 8ohms speakers. thank for ur response.

Re: 8ohms to 16 ohms
Theres no good way to go from 8ohms to 16Ohms, unless you change the speakers. I did it on my Ohm cab however, by taking out 2 drivers, (balnking the holes with plywood) leaving just two in series for 16Ohms. I only did that because it was a cab that I had. I would not want to buy it with that intention.
