Speakers?

hi, i have a 1980 model 1960a 4x12 cab and the speakers are black back with "marshall" written on them, and under it says "made by celestion for marshall", and then it says "rola celestion". does anybody know what speakers these are? thanks.

They are terrible speakers. Get rid of them immediately. I will give you the address of the disposal company. It happens to be the same address as me. I am a licensed crappy speaker disposal agent. I do my part for humanity. It's a small price to pay, but I am a very giving person.

They are crappy speakers. You need to get rid of them.

They are black backs. Kind of like Greenbacks, but black backs. Black backs suck. They sound very crappy. You really need to get rid of them. They can suck the power out of your amp and decrease tube life to 1 day. So unless you want to buy tubes everyday, you really do not want these speakers. You need to send them into a licensed crappy speaker disposal agent. Like I said, I am one and I can help.

Wow, with that attitude you are going to get a TON of help. Ok, here is the deal since you clearly do not understand sarcasm. Open your cab, there should be some numbering either on the back of the speaker or the speaker Chassis. Tell us what it says.

i understand sarcsm, but twice is pushing it. i looked. the only things there are what i wrote in the first post.

What you have there are the earliest version of the Rola-Celestion G12-65's, Don't let some idiot tell you that they aren't worth anything or they sound like crap. They're great speakers!
Does the front have the black grill like an 800 cab or the salt and pepper cheaker grill?, I'm guessing the black.
