new speakers for 2204 combo
hi, it's my first post here!!
i'm the owner of a '87 4104 212 combo. The amp has currently the stock celestion g12m70 speakers but they sound dull, lifeless, to sharp, and lack alot of bass. i'm looking for replacement speakers (2 the same, combination of 2 speakers, ...) what do you guys recommend? i'm looking for a warmer type of speaker with a 'round' middlesound, more bass then the current speakers, clear but not brittle highs, more life then the m70's i tend to favor eminence speakers because of their good value for money. |

Re: new speakers for 2204 combo
Well since its a 50watter, i would go personaly with
G12H Heritiages they have a bass resonance of 55hz I have them for my Vintage Modern and have great low end but are expensive. The Vintage 30 sound great are 60 watt speakers but has the same low end as the M70. Ive never used Eminence for a Marshall but they have some that are voiced like Celestions so that could also be the rout |
