If you were going to make a music video and it was going to be up to you on all the different elements it had in it and you got to choose it all, what would be some things in there that would make it perfect for you? What genre of music would it be?
Mine would obviously be a glam/hair metal type video, and I would make it cheesy but catchy and cool just like the old vids! I would put myself in a bad school talent show where all the students are bored to death while watching some old lady play bagpipes or something and then have the band bust in and start rocking everyone out while the teachers get mad and then have like the school blow up and turn into a stadium or something. It would have to include: -Hot school Girls in the front row. -leather -spandex -big hair -sunglasses -cool instruments -Marshall Stacks -anything else that would typically go in a cheesy 80's video. ![]() I just thought this might be fun and interesting to see what everyones is like, and obviously most people will be very different from mine but thats what makes it so interesting! So play along if you want and rock on!

Re: Your perfect music video
what was that song from back in the day? Did they ever make a video for "Ballad of Marshall Stacks"? Does anyone else remember that?

Re: Your perfect music video
My band from the 80's did a couple videos. They were done for free by the local TV station, as they wanted some local band videos on a weekly TV show. They were directed by someone who was a TV director at the time, and ended up being quite a successful Canadian Movie director...I won't say her name...because they were embarassingly bad. The hokiest and worst things I have ever seen. They had nothing to do with the songs. I was ashamed to be seen in them. The only good part is that the model we hired had on a thin white dress, and although we couldn't tell at the time...it really became see-through in the light. And it was pretty obvious she had the dress on and nothing else.
If I was to do anything now, I'd like to have my quircky sense of humour as part of it.
