Hailo The Taxi App
So I work for Hailo and I'm the designer on the Android team (I also designed a bunch of the iOS stuff but have moved off of that team to head up Android stuff) ... and this is my laptop with some of the stuff I'm doing ... sent it to the team via group email earlier ...
then I spotted something in the reflection of the image ![]() Anyways ... if anyone's in Boston, Chicago, Toronto, New York ... we're launching soon :P If anyone's in London or Dublin ... we're already out. Winning awards, being mentioned in top lists by major newspapers including the Guardian etc. And we made it into iTunes top list recently. App is free ![]() Anyways ... I'm still loving the reflection of the image in my Mac screen (Behind it is a 27 inch Thunderbolt display that I couldn't put the cab on to get the pic, hence using the small screen!) ![]()

Is that an arm and a titty that i can see...!
Good luck with it spirit. Here in Au there are a few of these apps about. Some govt and taxi honcho's are debating outlawing them in regard to $safety$.

Re: Hailo The Taxi App
Our app is completely integrated into the government taxi system. So in London you have to be a Licenced London Cab driver (not a minicab, but a black cab... with a proper Gov number). All our drivers are Gov Licensed everywhere in the world. For instance, in New York, it'll be Yellow cabs only. And the same everywhere. No private minicab firms allowed. So it's safe, cheap (well, the price of a cab), and official. We've opened offices all over the US, in Europe and even Tokyo
It's hitting BIG. And I'm employee number 9 with stock in the company hehe. So ... one day I might be rich ![]() One of the HUGE differences in our system to others is not only the licensed approved cab drivers, but every driver gets a special app for them that logs their jobs, payments etc. They can take credit cards with a tiny fee, they can literally run their entire business on the device. It's fully private and we don't even give the tax man the job details .... it's all encrypted. Our system tells the drivers when theres a taxi needed... and it's automated to the very last moment. No call centres, no office trying to push jobs from one driver to the next. It's the smartest and most powerful system in the world of it's kind. Nothing comes close. We're better than Uber and anyone else. But Uber is private hire and more costly to the customer too So yeah, I'm pretty confident we'll completely take the entire industry pretty quickly ![]() And oh yeah ... that's actually the reflection of two girls making out on a poster I have in my home studio where I work 2 or 3 days a week (the company I work for are awesome and I can work from home due to a back issue I have that really hurts a lot). I have the same setup at home as at work ...

Thats great mate, good that your into it early. Sounds like you have it all sorted out!
There is a company here that gives you a free smart phone, if your a driver to work the system. This is from about a year ago in my parts. And from what i gather, those two guys are rich as! Safety warning over taxi app
