Sydney Ampfest 2012 – 25th August

Location: The Vault 146, Corner of George Street and Kable Street Windsor

Start:1.00pm

Finish: 6.00-7.00pm approx.

The Vault is a restaurant with brilliant food, stage and sound. They will provide us with a pub style lunch menu.

There is plenty of parking in the adjacent car park and plenty of space for unloading / loading the gear in and out of cars.

If you're going to bring an amp to demo see if you can get there a bit before kickoff. However if you can't make it early don't stress as there will be people coming and going throughout the day. Just look for the hi-tech Whiteboard and Texta and get your name on the list!

A thing to remember is that Ampfest is about amps, not playing ability. If you feel a bit anxious about playing in front of a room full of guitar players - don't! There will be ample 'stunt guitarists' on hand that will be more than happy to play for you.

Damn, that sounds like a lot of fun ... do they have guitars there, or do you bring your own? Have you decided whether or not you're going to take your AFD?

I wont be taking the AFD unfortunately due to time constraints. I'm moving house and attending the Slash concert that day so I'll just be there for a few hours and I'll have to go

People bring their own guitars, should be cool.....

Great location out there! Actually one of the best tone wood shops in Oz is there too. Spent many $$$ on making expensive sawdust

Yea she is cool, she isn't a huge Slash fan but she knows I've gotten into him lately so she surprised me with tix and a nite in the city.

Yea Nudge heaps of local guitars and amps will be there. Can't wait to try em all out. I suspect a severe case of GAS will occur this weekend...!

Soul, would be great if you could post the vendors here.... I never knew too much about local amp builders.

I saw Slash here in London ... I've come to like him. Dig his live tones too.... AFD and JCM800 in stereo. I like his new album too.
