Is listening to Black metal a sin?
I've always been into heavy metal and to me, it's like music for the soul. (I'm talking Sabbath, Ozzy, that sorta thing) but I also like bands like Necromantia and stuff too.
I've only recently come around to the good faith and my beliefs have drastically changed for the better toward a Christian way of living, I'm really likin' it! Anyhow, is this stuff considered a sin? Becasue I really like it and not sure I'd like to let it go. I know this thread sounds cheesy.. but it's a real question for me. I was thinkin about it last night |

Re: Is listening to Black metal a sin?
Hmmm, yea man. A real question
One thing that makes me think this way is a few things I've seen where people actually died and came back said that suddenly, things they thought were okay because everyone else did them, weren't actually okay. There are people who have totally turned their lifes around after near death experiences becasue the stuff they experienced was so terrifying. Heres just one of those dudes if you can be bothered watching it, just skip to half way or something if you don't care about the death bit No discussing religion, it just so happens this one is a Christian thing. I really like the "I survived, beyond & back" series |

Re: Is listening to Black metal a sin?
By "died and came back" you mean like some medical incident that caused them to be clinically dead for a short period but then they were revived?
Ya, man, that would certainly mess with your head alright.

Re: Is listening to Black metal a sin?
I think if you have to ask the question then yes, it is. I'm not trying to be smartass either, if it's truly a question you have then it comes down to morals and shit and you have to deal with your conscience.

We all have our own beliefs and I respect yours. Good thing is: we all find out at the end of this life. Thats all I will discuss on that topic
