3 non smoking years

It is 3 years now since I quit smoking.

3 years & 2 packs a day = 2190 packs = 43800 cigarettes

Good for me!!!!!

Hey!, That's about 6000 euro.... I should buy me something right now!!!

Very good. I'd been a smoker for 22 years (2 packs a day as well) when I felt a burning pain in my chest. So I gave up smoking at once and the first day it was real hell; however, on the next day I felt as I had never smoked. Now I'm a non-smoker for 1,5 years and not goint to start again.

It's amusing how little we need sometimes to take a very important step.

Good Deal. I Quit 12 years ago - 2 packs or better a day. Was getting bronchitus twice a year wether I needed it or not. Felt better and didn't get winded as easy after I quit. Actually got a little more range out of the voice too. By all means go buy yourself something good.

Re: 3 non smoking years

Its only been a year since I quit and feel reborn. Few weeks ago after a KISS concert I tried to smoke just a puff and I realised why I quit about a year ago.
The first days were the harder as Iwas trying to save my life from smoking I was a nervous wreck and pissed off with everything and everyone. Smoking will certainly drive you under ground, quiting may drive you behind bars (jail)

!!! Bottom line, quiting smoking saved me more or less a JCM 2000 DSL 100

Re: 3 non smoking years

Congrats to all the ex-smokers!!!

I only have 6 "smoke free" months behind me, but after about 33 years of puffing away I never thought I would be able to quit. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired (as they say) and just put 'em down. It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. I still think about it from time to time, but the thought of being a heavy smoker at 51-yrs old... I might as well be playing russian roulette with 5 bullets in a six shooter...

I figure if I can make it a year I've quit for good...
