Re: Wilder Amplification is back up and online

OK...site is fully functional and is viewable in IE7, IE8 and Mozilla Firefox.

I did experience one thing that I thought I'd make everyone aware of. Some anti-phishing filters don't like going to my site and may give you a warning that the site is not secure and not to give out credit card info, blah blah blah.

First off...we are a brand new company with limited capital and we're just getting off the ground. So in an attempt to reduce overhead, for now my site is being hosted by my own web server that I've built out of a home PC. This cuts my costs down since I only have to pay for the domain name itself, and I have full control of the server by doing things this way. However, my connection uses a dynamic IP address, and I've just learned that anti-phishing filters do not like dynamic IP addresses. This is what ends up triggering the warning. There are absolutely no threats imposed by my server at all.

Second off...credit card processing is not done through my server. All of the merchant services/credit card processing is done through PayPal, which I'm sure everyone here has used in the past. My site hosts the "Add To Cart" buttons and the "View Cart" buttons, but these buttons simply just re-direct you to PayPal's virtual shopping cart, which has my logo to keep the site/cart feel the same, but is hosted by PayPal. Once you're ready to check out and you click the "Proceed To Checkout" button, again this redirects you to the site where you have the option to log into your PayPal account or just simply enter in your payment information and have PayPal process the order for you, which then deposits it into our PayPal account. You DO NOT have to have a PayPal account to purchase from us.

Again, all of the merchant processing is all done through PayPal...my website and host server is just the host for the PayPal "Add To Cart" and "View Cart" buttons to redirect you to PayPal's secure cart and checkout pages to process the payment.

If anyone has experienced a warning in the past when going to our site, there's nothing to worry about and you can bypass the warning, and rest assured that PayPal provides the secure merchant services for Wilder Amplification and is all processed via PayPal, not the Wilder Amplification web server. We are working on getting a static IP address which will hopefully stop this warning from popping up, but for now rest assured that we take internet security very seriously here at Wilder Amplification and there is nothing to worry about if you happen to get the warning.
