The designer can’t remember so nobody knows for sure. Our best theory is that the project was supposed to be a high power G12H-30 but the designer isn’t sure about this and thinks it was more based on the Alnico Blue.
Knowing Marketing guys they probably just liked the sound of the name Vintage 30!

there you go, we have a beutifull sounding speaker and no one "knows" why is called Vintage 30
