Back in the day marhall only had a couple of choices, a 4x12 cab 6x10s plus combos. We were just kids but had good stuff. The main choice around 1969 if you wanted overdrive, amps did not have it, you did it through bottoms. The 6x10 cab is most famous for Fever Tree's San Fransico nights. Using 50 watt heads you could get 10s to sustain better than 12s. I have wondered many times what happened to those 6x10 cabs. I'd pay more for one of those than any other cab. If you heard the song you heard what the best early overtdrive was. Best of all it was done live, not only studio. Great question and sometimes my age comes in handy.
