If you're after a decent les paul at a low price -
Then get an early 80's Japanese copy - Greco, Burny, Tokai, Fernandes, Orville etc..
Some have many of the features of customshop gibsons - i.e long neck tenon, solid maple top, solid mahaog back, fret edge binding, gotoh hardware etc...
I own and 82 burny les paul and it's far better than the production line les pauls i've played/owned.
If you want a decent Gibson, try before you buy - you'll find a gem.
