Yep. I did a comparison clip a while back (taken it down).

The results were impressive. The cobalts had better sustain, brighter high end and more definition.

They are twice the cost, but IMO it's a great $$$ to tone ratio when we sweat over NOS tubes etc.

Drawbacks: They slip a lot when you first install them. They take longer to settle (not good for live). But you have to change them less so that is a tradeoff. For solos they are little stiff compared to regular slinkies. They are also harder to install/wrap around the peg etc and that leads to slipping.
