Glad to hear you kept the Marshall. I own a 2-12 Deville. Its a great amp. I dumped my Marshall super lead years ago and replaced it with a smaller amp and always regretted it. They (smaller amps) are great on the back, but you'll never again have the same sound/crunch that the closed back 4-12 has.

You hit the nail on the head about it being like an old girlfriend....if you still got the hots for a Fender combo ( deville, hot rod or what ever) they go for alot less money than a Marshall half stack. Keep your eyes open and you'll find one.
