I'm not english , so if some things aren't clear, that's normal...
As I don't use a THD with the 1974x, It get's very loud when you wan't to have THE sound. (Of course a super lead is louder. Much louder.)
I did a gig recently in a bar (150 persons) with the 1974x and it was still a bit too loud (to get a overdrive sound).
I Own a Super lead (72: not a real plexi), because it is a great sounding amp, with a THD Hotplate. (Without one you barely get to use it). And, like I said: it has more bass (partially due to 4x 12 cab).
