Disregard my question...totally my fault. I guess I should have looked at the manual where it tells you quite clearly that both channel buttons need to be depressed in order for the footswitch to work properly. I mean it is like just below the introduction in bold font...I am an idiot. It works and sounds great now. It's kinda like when you put your child's toy together and when your done you have some extra pieces and say, "OH, I shoulda read the directions".
