I still find my DSL a little too bright even with the Bass Boost button in & a GE7 in the loop, it's not that it sounds bad overall but it's either too toppy or too muddy on the neck pickup.
I can't seem to find that awesome tone that DSL owners talk about, oh well I'll keep searching or trade up maybe!
