Did your brother get it out of the drill or the charger? I'm assuming it was a 6 volt model. Nonetheless, interchanging parts like that usually lead to disaster. I would have to strongly recommend that you take the amp in to a qualified service tech and let him make the necessary repairs. This is not an issue that can be rectified by people posting on this thread with ideas of what might be wrong with your amp. Your amp has a serious problem. Address it by taking it to a tech.
