Hi Folks

I've been reading the forum on and off for a while now and unfortunately i've now got a problem with my own amp to share. Basically when I've had valves replaced by a technician they last no time at all. e.g about 10 hours playing. The guy who replaced them last is well respected and knows his stuff about Marshalls as he's worked with them for years.

Each time I've get the amp back it works perfectly however its short lived and before long the volume drops out and theres a sound i can only describe as 'a stormy sea' coming out of the cab. Any time i subsequently switch the amp on this sound can be heard continuously.

When it happened the first time i thought it was just a classic 'valves need replaced job' however it seems there may be a deeper routed problem.

Any Feedback would be much appreciated.
