I agree about the NOS tubes, they are supposed to sound great.
I have just mounted cryo-treated 6550 Sovteks Winged C tubes into my Marshall 9100, and the sound is just mind blowing!!! Not as brittle sounding as the standard 6550s, much more rounded and pleasing to my ears. On the other hand, not the typical Marshall sound you would get with EL34s...
Btw. Tesla and JJ are the VERY same factory, the original Slovak Tesla communist factory was (right after the fall of the iron wall in Slovakia in 1989) bought by a guy called Mr. Juraj Jurco, hence the JJ
