JMP Super Bass 100W

Hi there,

I am a newbie to vintage marshall amp; recently I picked up a vintage marshall amp - JMP Super Bass 100W from a local private dealer; I have no idea of which year it was made in (The guy who sold it to me does not have a clue as well, i guess he is not that professional afterall). Anyone else here know where I can find reference to check the date out ?

Currently, I put EH-12AT7 & EH-EL34 inside it. I have no experience of changing tubes for amp, I have no idea of which kind of tubes has good tone to go with this amp. Does anyone has suggestions of what tubes I should try with this amp ? I heard someone said different tubes has different characteristic, so what if I really into vintage amp sounds, something like what John Frusciante's sounds, any tubes can come close to his sound?

Anyways, thanks for all suggestions and help in advance !!!

Thanks a million !!!
