I read somewhere that he used or uses a compressor for solos.What do you guys think?Ive been listening to "If you want blood" today and it seems his tone is pretty level throughout.Im guessing that is what a compressor does?Ive never mess around with one but Im wondering if it would be a cool thing to use on solos.Not really a boost but more of a leveling effect.
Ive tried clean boost and I really didnt care for it too much, any suggestions?
Im looking to stand out in the mix a bit but not over the top and really dont need a bunch of extra distortion.Ala Angus
