I didnt know for sure what model of 1936 did or didnt,dont or have never owned one.If they are,then they suck too then.For me,IMO.I know the older ones are made with plywood for sure.Those I have played thru and loved.Yes,newer 1936s are made with MDF. But for some people,its not a bad problem,more a good problem.

OK,there is a BIG difference in plywood or MDF.Amd some people like MDF for certain reasons.Some dont.I dont.Some do.

Plywood-it resonates,errr,it is more vibrant and alive sounding.Great for enjoying your hard earned tone.

MDF is dead,sterile sounding-but,some guys like that kind of response when it comes to using a cab that they are going to be mic'ing up a majority of the time.

Maybe,have a cab for rehearsing and recording made of plywood and a cab made of MDF when playing live where it doesnt matter of the cab wood resonates.
