4x12 is a distinctive sound. 8x12 is better if you have a big room! LOL 2x12 may be loud enough, but for me that's for recording or playing in a tiny hall. Impact wise, 4x12 is the minimum requirement! It helps that I have a 50 watt and not 100 watt amp....
