Re: Your first Marshall amp
I was hooked on the top of the line Peaveys and had a Mace Black Widow combo and a Renown 212 with Scorpions. I was used to them and I got a pretty good sound. Then in 1982, I played an 800, 100 watt head and I bought it immediately. My first Marshall and the second year of the 800. The 800 didn't have the channel switching I was used to, but rolling the volume control is what you had to do to bring the beast out. I wish I still had it.
