Re: Marshall 2x12 - Worth it?

I used a 1936 for about 4 months. Had no probs with the construction and quality - that's all fine. Swapped out the G12T's for greenbacks which improved the sound but it still felt not quite right. Couple weeks ago picked up a 1960a and loaded it with 4 x greebacks and the improvement in the sound and tone is hugely obvious. I'm a realitive noob and it was THAT obvious! I don't know if it's because it fills the room better or the extra cab volume coupled with dynamics of the 4 speakers somehow work to smooth/round out the sound more (someone else more tekkie can answer that) but it makes a helluva difference.
IMHO if you can stretch to a 4x12, DO IT!! and just suffer hauling it around..
