Oh okay, I get what you're saying. I was thinking that if you had the amp's volume at lets say 4 without any boost and then kicked on the boost that it would simply have more power driving the preamp tubes into saturation without affecting the power tube circuit (aka without adding more volume). but I realize the error of my statement, I forgot that the desireable tube saturation that tube amp owners love comes from saturation of the POWER TUBES and not the preamp tubes. (I never can get mine loud enough to appreciate or understand what thats like)
