Does anyone know what "Fast" Eddie from the original Motorhead played through? I know he used an old strat with an X2N in the bridge but I could never find out for sure what his amp rig was. Given the time the early Motorhead stuff was recorded, he was probably using the latest run of JMP 2203/2204s or the very first JCM800s. Is there anything else between himself, his axe, and a stack of cranked Marshalls, or did I just answer my own question? The reason I'm asking is his tone is way different than any other heavy band during the '80s. Might just be because he was using a strat with one hot-ass humbucker in it.
