Re: What amp do you have had , have or want ?
I would love to have my old 2204s back. I had a 1984 2204 that was rumoured to have been owned by Bob Rock. It was my tone machine. I could throw any pedal at it and it would sing and dance at my bidding. It was "Stolen" when it was on loan to a guy I trusted...
The other was a 1978 JMP 2204 that I didn't appreciate enough and should have ponied up for a re-tube with the same tubes I had in the one above rather than trade it for a JCM800 2203. I was using the two in stereo and wanted them to look the same. Lame I know...
I tried a JCM900 reissue the other day. It was the first time I ever tried one. I wish I had way back when I snubbed my nose at them for not being JCM800s... I was impressed with the tone and usable gain right from the head. To my ear it was better than the SLX the store had at the time and right up there with the JVM but without the complicated interface. So the 4100 will go on my list of amps to gather.
I suppose another I should put on the list would be a 1957 Fender Harvard. That would make my Randy Rhoads amp collection complete.
And last but not least, I would like to get my hands on a Peavey Ultra Plus. Always liked it, never wanted to shell out for it back then, can't really justify it now.
